Online Therapy

Online Therapy

I am not taking on new clients, but I have a series of online courses based on my private practice. The reviews say the courses are better than other therapists face-to-face therapy, and they are available for you immediately.

Many people come to see me after meeting with other therapists.

Since I started working with people online, the average session duration is four sessions. This is for difficulties relating to anxiety, stress, low mood, confidence and self-esteem.

You can choose between a 30 minutes €65 or 50-minute session €89

Online appointments are available immediately, many on the same day, and include evening and weekends

IMPORTANT: As per terms and conditions, these appointments are not suitable if you have any thoughts of harming yourself in any way

What people are saying

“You remind me of Claire Weekes; you have a heart

“Thank you so much for helping me live through the darkest time of my life

Does it work?

“Research is showing that online cognitive therapy (provided by an experienced expert) is as effective or, in some cases, more effective than sitting in a therapy room.

This may come as a surprise to you, as many people believe that they have to attend face to face, but really, this is just a personal preference.

Issues that it can help with;

  • Self-esteem or self-confidence issues
  • Anxiety; including panic attacks, social anxiety, stress, agoraphobia and phobias
  • Depression and low mood
  • Relationship issues
  • Work-related problems and stress
  • Sexual difficulties
  • Sleep problems and insomnia
  • Anger management
  • Living with chronic illness and pain

Who is it not suitable for?

Under 18’s. I only work with adults. It is not suitable for people who have serious mental health difficulties, engage in self-harm, or feel suicidal.

How does it work?

You can work with me online using Skype or Facetime.

It is just like coming into my office, as you can see and chat to me as usual, with the added convenience of not having to travel to Dublin.

  1. You book your appointment online
  2. After booking, you are immediately sent an email confirming your appointment and giving you all the details you need

That’s it!

What if I need to change the day or time? You can do that. You log in to the online diary and feel free to reschedule yourself.

Can I change my mind? Sure, you cancel your appointment. Providing you cancel with more than 24 hours notice, you get a full refund. You can choose between a 30 minute or 60-minute session.

Why online?

Therapy is changing.

With services such as Skype and FaceTime, being able to meet online and still feel ‘real and connected’ is part of daily life for many people. Maybe, because of the way we work today, accessing therapy can be difficult for some people.

For full-time psychologists like myself, we generally work office hours, just like you! This can make it hard to access someone you would like to work with without taking time out of work. Or you might find that you work in a particular region where there are no therapists available.

Convenience and Flexibility: It fits with their schedule, and they can meet with their therapist from any location they choose. You can conduct your session from the privacy of your own home, while out of the country, and even on the go (using a mobile or tablet) if you wish.

Privacy: Many people find that the privacy of working online suits them better than attending an office.

Easier to talk: You might find it daunting meeting a therapist in their office due to feelings of embarrassment, shame or guilt. Meeting online can be more accessible.

There is no waiting list. You choose your slot from my online calendar and book it then and there.
